Swimming is awesome. Period

I love swimming, it is a great way to lose weight, but it is often overlooked. You see, people trying to learn how to lose weight fast often think the only two methods are long, boring cardio such as running on the treadmill for 2 hours, or by strength training. Swimming barely gets a mention!

Here are 3 Reasons why you should be getting in the pool:

Every Muscle Gets a Workout

While other exercises and workouts only target certain areas of your body, swimming does it all at once. Therefore all muscles are getting worked, so you’ll be burning calories like crazy! When it comes to losing weight, you really need to push yourself, and the problem is that other workouts only work certain areas of the body, so you aren’t working hard enough.

By swimming, you’re working all areas. The more areas you workout, the quicker you burn fat, so get in and swim!

Improves Stamina

Swimming is great because you can actually improve your stamina too. My stamina was terrible before I started swimming. I’d never smoked a cigarette in my life, however, I felt like a chain smoker! However, once I started swimming, I felt that I could go on longer and longer, and this really improved my fitness!

It’s Just Fun

That’s right, I actually look forward to swimming every other day. I used to HATE running on the treadmill, but swimming is different. It can get a bit repetitive if you don’t mix up the workouts, that’s why you need to plan. However, if you do plan and mix up your workouts, you’ll love it.
